(CercleFinance.com) – Reddit shares climbed 15% this Friday on the New York Stock Exchange the day after the formalization of a partnership with OpenAI, the company behind the artificial intelligence (AI) system ChatGPT .
Under the terms of the agreement, OpenAI will be able to use content published on Reddit forums to power ChatGPT as well as other of its products, which will allow it to have real-time access to the data API of Reddit.
The latter did not specify the financial terms of the agreement.
At the same time, Reddit plans to offer its users and moderators new AI features based on OpenAI platforms.
Finally, OpenAI plans to become an advertiser on Reddit pages.
