Xiaomi today announces yet another touch pad. With its Redmi Pad Pro, the brand seeks to appeal to those who wish “ relax after a day of work “.

Because there’s more to life than just the new iPad Pro, Xiaomi is launching its brand new Redmi Pad Pro tablet, designed for entertainment. For this, the new tablet from the Chinese manufacturer is built around a very large 12.1-inch touchscreen panel (i.e. a surface area 33% larger than the Redmi Pad), in 16:10 format, without forgetting a low price.

Under the hood of the Redmi Pad Pro, we find a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor (2.4 Ghz), with a choice of 6 or 8 GB of RAM, without forgetting a total of four speakers. On the screen side, the 12.1-inch panel can display an image in 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The device is equipped with a 10,000 mAh battery which promises, according to the manufacturer, up to 12 hours of video playback. Fast charging is also included, with 33 W compatibility.

Both front and rear have 8-megapixel cameras. For its part, connectivity is ensured by Wi-Fi 6 compatibility, not forgetting a valuable 3.5 mm jack port. Perfect for enjoying your favorite content discreetly, in bed or elsewhere.

HyperOS on board and accessories to boost productivity

The new Redmi Pad Pro tablet is powered by HyperOS, the operating system made in Xiaomi. As a result, the tablet ensures Xiaomi interconnectivity, with a fluid connection between various devices of the brand.

The manufacturer also offers various accessories (optional) to boost the productivity of its tablet. As with the competition, we find in particular an active pen, the Redmi Smart Pen (69.99 euros), but also a keyboard (99.99 euros).

The Redmi Pad Pro is available in blue, gray and green, on the Mi.com website as well as at partner resellers. Price-wise, count on 329.99 euros for the 6+128 GB version and 379.99 euros for the 8+256 GB version. Until June 2, the brand is offering an introductory offer with a price reduced to 299 euros for the version 6+128 GB.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus

  • Successful and durable design (IP68)
  • Quality wide-angle photos
  • Ultra-fast charging

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+, unlike others, is priced stable compared to the previous generation. However, the Xiaomi subsidiary gives the impression of a nice move upmarket this year. Very well equipped, notably with a 200 megapixel main photo module, it is extremely versatile. Furthermore, it is adorned with finery that we previously thought reserved for high-end mobiles: IP68 certification and Gorilla Glass Victus glass are on the program.

Of course, some will regret the disappearance of the jack socket, or even simply that it is twice (two!) less efficient than the recent POCO X6 Pro, recently launched by Redmi’s sister brand.

The fact remains that we have in our hands an excellent product, which also has the good taste of offering better software support than last year: Redmi now promises three upgrades and four years of security patches.
