Renowned for their good equipment/price ratio on the entry level, Xiaomi’s Redmi Watches usually offer the essentials of what can be expected from a connected watch. They are also distinguished from activity sensors by their larger format as well as by their integrated GPS chip, without however blowing up the bill, the Redmi Watch 2 Lite having for example been launched at 70 €. Change of register however with the Redmi Watch 3, which goes upmarket to better equip itself.
The most visible novelty, the switch to a 1.75 “Amoled screen (390 x 450 px) supposed to ensure a high contrast display thanks to its very deep blacks. Xiaomi announces good readability in direct sunlight thanks to a maximum brightness of 600 nits.

The Redmi Watch 3 also incorporates a GPS chip supporting the five main satellite systems, in order to make the most of monitoring outdoor sports activities without having to take a smartphone with you. The watch offers 121 sports modes, six of which are recognized automatically. Its 5 ATM water resistance also makes it compatible with swimming.
On the health side, monitoring of heart rate, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and sleep are included. The Redmi Watch 3 nevertheless remains compact (42.6 x 36.5 mm), thin (9.99 mm) and light (37.3 g).
The connected functions are not forgotten, in particular with the management of telephone calls via Bluetooth, thanks to the integration of a noise-canceling microphone and a loudspeaker.
On the autonomy front, Xiaomi announces up to 12 days of operation in “normal use” with its 289 mAh battery.
Well equipped, the Redmi Watch 3 is however not as cheap as its elders, now reaching € 149.99. An introductory offer valid until April 6, however, allows this price to be lowered by €20.
