On Saturday, in Paris, three police officers fired on a car suspected of having fled from a control causing the death of a passenger. But according to figures from the Ministry of the Interior, in only 0.76% of cases, the police and gendarmes used their weapon in 2021 out of 26,320 refusals to comply.
It is a case that has been stirring up the highest peak in the state in recent days. On Saturday, in Paris, three police officers, two men and a woman, fired on a car suspected of having fled from a control causing the death of a passenger. They have since been placed in police custody for “violence with a weapon by a person holding public authority”, before their police custody was lifted on Tuesday at the start of the afternoon. According to the version of the officials, the car would have taken “leak at high speed”. The driver for his part was taken into custody.
According to figures from the Ministry of the Interior, last year in France there were 201 shots by police and gendarmes targeting vehicles refusing to be checked. Out of 26,320 refusals to comply identified. Or 0.76% of cases. (@Europe1)
