Régine is preparing her succession: she sold her souvenirs at auction: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

Unforgettable hits, cult replicas, frenzied evenings … Régine has, in a way, entered the history of French culture forever. At 91, the former queen of Parisian nights is aware that this era is well over and, as she explains in the columns of France Sunday On newsstands on January 22, 2021, it's time for her to hand over the baton. So, on January 14, 2021, she organized an auction of her memories. "At my age, you can't wear too much the things you used to wear when you were younger. So, you might as well get rid of them …", declares Amanda Lear's best enemy. “At some point in life it is important to do a big cleanse”. But beware, out of the question to part with some of his most striking accessories : "My boas are the only items I couldn't give away". The rest, photos of his crazy encounters included, will find a new owner with the best offering: "Better that these photos be used by others, rather than ending up in oblivion. Especially since they are still well preserved! Like me!".

Régine remains marked by the death of her brother Maurice to whom she could not say goodbye because of the coronavirus

Régine also knows that now in her 90s, time is running out : "I'm fortunate to be still pretty healthy, but we're not forever. So I have to think about what will happen later." So that's why she decided that only relatives could access part of its heritage. Marked by the recent death of her brother Maurice, Régine tells how difficult it is for her to recover: "It really devastated me (…) I still can't get over his departure". Not to mention that because of the current health situation, she could not really pay tribute to him. "Especially since I was unable to attend his funeral because of the Covid", she laments.
