Reiner Calmund has gained weight again after his record weight loss. Still, there’s no need to worry.
Reiner Calmund (74) has increased again – but that’s no reason to worry. His wife Sylvia (52) said “Bild”: “He deliberately gained a little weight again. 100 kilos is exactly his comfortable weight, so we are very happy as a family.” About two years ago, the sports manager underwent a removal of the skin flaps and a gastric bypass operation. As a result, Calmund lost more than half his original body weight: instead of 180 kilos, he only weighed 83 kilos.
Reiner Calmund “looked like the suffering of Christ”
Attentive fans of “Grill den Henssler” noticed in the recently broadcast summer special that the juror had changed optically again. He looked fuller, his face was no longer sunken. But in the Calmund house, nobody is worried about the renewed weight gain. Sylvia is even “very happy” about it, as she reports. The family suffered when the 74-year-old suddenly lost so much weight. “He looked like the Passion of Christ: pale, sunken, far too thin. That didn’t suit him, he also had little energy,” recalls Sylvia. But with a few more pounds on your hips, everything is different. Calmund is in a “good mood” and infects everyone with his enthusiasm.
Right from the start, Reiner Calmund and his doctors had their target weight of 100 kilos in their sights: “He has now achieved that.” For months he has been able to maintain the weight approximately. And Sylvia is thrilled. “I like my husband best the way he looks now,” she emphasizes.
