Reinhold Messner wants to get married again. The mountaineering icon wants to say “ I do ” to his partner Diane Schumacher in May.
Mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner (76) wants to step in front of the altar again. The 76-year-old will say yes to his partner Diane Schumacher (41) in May 2021. About the upcoming wedding reported first the “Südtiroler Tageszeitung”.
According to the report, Messner and Schumacher have been in a relationship for a year and a half. However, there won’t be a big festival. Only the closest family and friends are allowed to take part in the wedding in the Vinschger municipality Kastelbell-Tschars in South Tyrol.
It will be Messner’s third marriage. He had previously been married to Sabine Stehle for over ten years. The couple separated in August 2019. They have three children together. Before that, Messner was married to Uschi Demeter from 1972 to 1977.
