The Swiss Federation of Trade Unions (SGB) and the trade union umbrella organization Travailsuisse are dissatisfied with the course of talks between Switzerland and the EU on institutional issues.
During the explorations, the federal government agreed to a reduction in wage protection and public service.
The two organizations criticized at a media conference in Bern that the project of an institutional framework agreement had become a liberalization program.
The Federal Council must correct these errors. Employees who are posted to Switzerland will no longer receive expenses in accordance with Swiss regulations, wrote SGB and Travailsuisse in a statement.
This would put Swiss companies and employees at a competitive disadvantage, and foreign employees would be discriminated against. The EU Commission is also demanding the adoption of EU law in the area of electricity supply and international passenger transport by rail, it said.
Specifically, this would mean complete liberalization of the electricity market for small customers and market access for rail companies such as Flixtrain.
