This Thursday, June 23, 2022, Focus Entertainment organized a showcase to reveal new gameplay extracts for A Plague Tale Requiem but also (and above all) a release date. Long presented during the Summer Game Fest, fans were surprised to find that none of the conferences were the opportunity to learn more about a specific release day. After a successful first episode, the Bordeaux studio Asobo, also behind the stunning Flight Simulator, took advantage of the month of June to come back with something concrete for the rest of the adventures of Amicia and her brother.

During the Tribeca Games of the SGF, we were treated to a trailer but the video broadcast only offered meager excerpts from Requiem. All we know is that the graphics are absolutely gorgeous and we felt that the teams wanted to take it to the next level. The June 23 showcase then allowed us to see much more about the gameplay of this second Plague Tale.
- Synopsis : We will follow the adventures of Amicia and her brother with exceptional abilities, Hugo. Orphans since the start of the first opus, they try somehow to escape their pursuers and the ravages of the black plague.
In the extracts revealed, we observe a much more offensive Amicia, having greatly matured. His brother seems consumed by his powers and it is quite possible that they are at the center of the plot.
Although our two protagonists have gained confidence, the gameplay will (always) be centered around stealth and survival. However, it will be possible to observe new aspects that will energize the gameplay, such as naval battles, but also the crossbow fight. Everything is extremely fluid and the new gameplay video offered us a long chase with our two protagonists on the run. Hugo can then use his detection power to spot nearby enemies.
