What content for the Season of Discovery on WoW Classic?
Concretely, what is the Season of Discovery? This content presented during BlizzCon 2023 includes a brand new adventure based on WoW Classic. Thus, you will find the classes, kingdoms and the majority of objects present in the original version of World of Warcraft.
However, the comparison ends there as the Season of Discovery promises to offer a whole new experience. First of all, the game offers a maximum level set at 25 for the first part. Note that this cap will be removed subsequently, via updates adding additional content. In addition, the quests and leveling areas have been modified, with quite a few new features and surprises. But above all, the different specialties of WoW see the arrival of new options: the Shaman Tank, the Warlock Tank, the Healing Mage, and the Thief Tank.
These specializations as well as the old ones will see their gameplay evolve thanks to the addition of Runes, which are added to objects like gems. These Runes are spell specific, allowing your class to dramatically change one or more abilities. Note that you can only use three runes at the same time and that each spell depends on a specific rune, which can only be equipped on a specific part (gloves, chest or pants).
In addition to these new specializations, both PvE and PvP content will once again be unique. Thus, in addition to the Dungeons of the first levels of WoW, the Depths of Blackbrew will be transformed into 10-player Raid content, with completely new Bosses and unique rewards. On the PvP side, Ashenvale will become a specific battle zone where the Horde and the Alliance will wage war against each other.

What release date for Season of Discovery?
The first part of the Season of Discovery arrives on WoW Classic on Thursday, November 30 at 10 p.m. PST. Servers specific to this game mode will be accessible to players, who will then have to start the leveling adventure again at level 1.
Regarding the increase in the maximum level, currently set at level 25, Blizzard has not specified a date. Given the unique content offered on the Season of Discovery, it is likely that the second part of the adventure (separated into four parts, level 25, 40, 50 and finally 60) will be available within a few months.
