Bethesda was bought by Microsoft, which gave the company more resources and allowed it to work on more and more projects. The latter were included in a recently leaked forecast schedule, since Microsoft shared a document before the FTC last October (via ResetEra), which was just leaked, in which we see Bethesda’s plans until fiscal year 2024 (i.e. April 2025).
However, the dates indicated in this one should not be taken literally, since this calendar seems to date from 2020 or even 2021. It is therefore necessary to postpone certain projects by several years, like The Elder Scrolls VI, which will not be released before 2028, or even Indiana Jones, which is not expected until next year.
Bethesda has some very nice projects in store
At any rate, this document reveals Bethesda’s plans for the years to comeand players should be delighted. An Oblivion remasterwhich had also leaked a few months ago, is planned, just like a new DOOM, called Year Zero. These two projects seem the “closest”. Fallout 3 would also have the right to its remaster, and Ghostwire: Tokyo a sequel, while it has just crossed six million players. Finally, Dishonored would return with a third episode.
In addition to all this, two other games whose name is unknown are planned, with Project Kestrel and Project Platinum, the first of which also has an extension planned. However, these should not be games developed by Bethesda, but rather published. The Elder Scrolls Online will always be supported, with one expansion per year.
Even if the information comes from an official document, this information must still be taken with a grain of salt, given that projects may have been canceled internally, for the benefit of others. As for dates, these are no longer on the agenda, since we see, for example, Starfield in fiscal year 2021.
Bethesda and its partner studios therefore seem to have some exciting projects in preparation, to spoil the community.
