Remote control, reading light, storage? But what is this new iDevice that Apple is developing?

A new (and astonishing) patent filed by Apple has recently started to be talked about.

And the least we can say is that the latter leaves a lot of room for imagination.

This year, Apple should deploy a brand new device on the market: the Reality Pro. If the apple brand may not have chosen the best time to embark on mixed reality, it must be admitted that the wait will have been particularly long. The first helmet is not yet released that Apple is already planning to market a second, at a more affordable price.

Anyway, as the years go by, the Cupertino giant is always on the lookout for innovation. And it’s not the new patent published by the US Patent Office that should prove us wrong. After sharing a new patent for the folding iPhone earlier this year, the manufacturer still seems to have a head full of ideas.

When AirPods meet… the iPod?

In this patent filed by Apple, we can discover a small device that clearly does not leave anyone indifferent. Taking the form of a case for AirPods, it incorporates a touch screen allowing you to play and control your music, check the weather, read a book, watch movies or even interact with various applications. If it takes the form of a storage case for wireless headphones, it is simply because it would also allow them to be recharged.

Obviously, these first elements allow us to note some similarities with the iPod, whose production officially ended last year. If this small box could well represent a small technological advance, note all the same that it is for the moment only a patent. In other words, the device may very well never go beyond the mere idea stage. Let’s hope that Apple will try to give life to this project, whose potential inevitably leaves us a little curious…
