Rémy Cointreau: payment of the dividend in shares chosen as a priority by the shareholders

(Boursier.com) — The General Meeting of Shareholders of Remy Cointreaumeeting on July 21 in Paris, approved the payment of an exceptional dividend of 1 euro per share for the fiscal year 2021-2022 for which it decided to grant each shareholder an option between a payment of the dividend in cash or in shares.

The option period was open from July 29 to September 19, 2022 (inclusive). At the end of this period, 67.6% of the rights had been exercised in favor of the payment of the exceptional 2021-2022 dividend in shares.

For the purposes of payment of the dividend in shares, 223,147 new shares will be issued. The issue price of the new shares which will be delivered in payment of the dividend is 155.72 euros. It corresponds to 90% of the average of the prices quoted on Euronext during the 20 trading sessions preceding the day of the general meeting minus the amount of the dividend, and rounded up to the nearest euro cent.

The settlement and delivery of the shares and their admission to trading on Euronext will take place on October 3. These shares will carry dividend rights from April 1, 2022 (start of the current financial year) and will be fully assimilated to the shares already admitted.

The cash dividend, to be paid to shareholders who have not chosen the option of payment in shares, will also be paid from October 3.

Rémy Cointreau’s share capital now amounts to 82,837,827.20 euros, divided into 51,773,642 shares with a par value of 1.60 euros.
