Renan with four pack – FC Dornbirn shoots down Salzburg’s young bulls 6:0

The successful run of FC Dornbirn continues! At FC Liefering, coach Thomas Janeschitz’s Vorarlbergers celebrated an impressive 6-0 (2-0) win. Celebrated hero in the Rothosen record victory: Brasilo striker Renan – he scored four times. Sturm Graz and FAC parted without a goal.

After the two draws against Lafnitz (1-1) and Vienna (0-0), FC Dornbirn knocked out Bundesliga club TSV Hartberg 3-2 from the ÖFB Cup. In the 2nd league followed a 1-0 away win at Rapid II and most recently a 2-1 home win against Kapfenberg. However, the provisional highlight of Dornbirn’s run of success was undoubtedly the 6-0 away triumph at FC Liefering. For the Vorarlbergers it is the highest victory they have ever achieved in the 2nd division. Until Sunday morning it was a 6-1 win, which was achieved on August 24, 2019 at home on the Birkenwiese against Kapfenberg. Renan show starts early The Salzburg Junbulls were clearly inferior to Thomas Janeschitz’ team. Brasilo striker Renan gave the visitors a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute after assists from Sebastian Santin. Matheus Favali (21st) then made it 2-0 for Vorarlberg before the break. Liefering’s best chance: A header from Oumar Diakite – but it only hit the crossbar. Instead of Liefering’s goal, Renan made it 3-0 immediately after the restart (46 ‘) and made it 4-0 just four minutes later after Stefanon’s assist after. However, the goal hunger of the Janeschitz squad was far from satisfied. Another four minutes later, the outstanding Renan gave the assist to Lars Nußbaumer’s 5-0 (54th minute), before the 22-year-old Brazilian fixed the 6-0 final score with his fourth goal in the 71st minute. Dornbirn thus moved up to tenth place in the table and now, like Sturm Graz amateurs, has eleven points. The Styrians, who were playing at the same time, only managed a goalless draw at home against FAC. After nine rounds, the Floridsdorfer are one point behind the Vienna in fifth place in the table.
