Whereas Zeri has just arrived in League of Legends, the first information released on the net would show that Riot Games is reportedly working on a new champion, which should happen much sooner than we think, renata. This future champion would be a support, according to the information gathered during various dataminings.
It is in the Chinese version of TFT on mobile that a player has datamined many interesting elements demonstrating the arrival of a future new champion in League of Legends. This champion rresponds to the name of Renata and dataminers have moreover found his skin within this mobile version of TFT. Here we get a very first look at the new champion who is expected to join Summoner’s Rift in the future.
In the champions roadmap released in September 2021, Riot announced the arrival of two new champions at the start of 2022. First of all, Zeri, already available within the game, but also a new medium, currently undisclosed. The roadmap, however, describes this champion as charismatic but terrifying. So it would be Renata, and we have some details about him. She would be an enchanter from the region of Zaun, one of the regions inherent in the lore of League of Legends, and some even theorize that it would be one of the great criminal masterminds of this region. One of his spells was also revealed during these leaks, and it should be of a manipulation spell.
We already had a first image of Renata, revealing a champion with long black hair, wearing a mask on the lower part of his face, with purple eyes on a black background, enough to send shivers down your spine. Other elements also confirm the future arrival of Renata in Riot’s game, and we find them this time within leaks on the next skins of the game. More particularly within the collection of “SQUAD” skins in which we find a SQUAD Renata skin.
With the announcement of the arrival of Silco, one of the characters from Arcane, only in Teamfights Tactics, one can however ask if Renata will one day come to League of Legends or if she too will be a character unique to TFT. So we still don’t know officially if Renata will indeed join the League one day, but if we are to believe the champions’ roadmap, it remains a strong possibility.
