PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Alpine, the sports brand of car manufacturer Renault, will produce a new electric vehicle at its Dieppe site, a small SUV, the president of the diamond group, Jean-Dominique Senard, announced on Friday.
“We are going to announce (this Friday, editor’s note) the continuation of the manufacture of Alpine cars in Dieppe”, indicated the manager on France Inter. The Dieppe plant will thus welcome “a new vehicle which is not the Alpine A110, which is an electric vehicle of the more SUV type, a small SUV, which will be quite fantastic”, developed Jean-Dominique Senard.
The manager stressed that this new model would help revive the Alpine brand and ensure the future of the Dieppe site when there was “a doubt, a few years ago” about the sustainability of this factory.
