PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones) – US chipmaker Qualcomm announced on Tuesday that it had reached an agreement with Renault to extend their semiconductor partnership.
“The Renault group will work with Qualcomm Technologies to use the Snapdragon Digital Chassis to equip future Renault vehicles with the latest connected and intelligent solutions,” the American group said in a press release.
The two companies announced last September their collaboration on Renault’s Mégane E-tech.
Qualcomm also announced technology partnerships with Honda and Volvo on Tuesday, amid a shortage of semiconductors in the auto industry.
The Renault title gained 3.3%, to 33.37 euros.
