PARIS, Oct 5 (Reuters) – Renault is confident of overcoming the risk of recession looming over the planet due to current inflationary and geopolitical tensions, the French automaker’s chief executive said on Wednesday.
“The world is now very afraid of a possible recession in the coming months, and this will be our next challenge,” Luca de Meo said during an economic conference organized in Italy by the newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore.
“But I think we at Renault Group have proven that we are resilient and creative enough to weather the next storm,” he added. (Gilles Guillaume, edited by Matthieu Protard)
