Renault electric truck, new Mustache bike and simplified search on Gmail

If the week was rather calm in the field of tech, some news should however be noted, whether on the side of French electric vehicles, at Renault and Mustache, or the search for emails that Google intends to simplify.

Renault launches into the electric truck

While Tesla provided more information this week on the Semi, its heavyweight intended to land very soon on American roads, the manufacturer was a few days ahead of a French brand: Renault. The manufacturer has indeed unveiled these new electric heavyweights, the T E-Tech and C E-Tech. If these two trucks will not arrive on the roads before the beginning of next year, we now know their characteristics and their lines with a power of 490 kW, the equivalent of 666 horsepower and batteries with capacities of 180 to 540 kWh for a range of 300 km.

Mustache is on Weekend (like us)

The French manufacturer Mustache has become known for its electric bikes offering excellent comfort and good performance. The firm announced this week a lighter version of the Weekend 27 FS Dual EQ, soberly called Weekend FS EQ. Here, it is not a question of turning the manufacturer’s range upside down, but of offering a bike with more modest characteristics for a more affordable price. Count in particular a theoretical autonomy of 116 km, a weight of 26.5 kg, a battery of 625 Wh, a Bosh Performance Line CX central motor of 85 Nm and a Shimano 12-speed transmission system. The tour for a price that remains high, at 6399 euros.

On Gmail, finding an old email will become child’s play

Google continues to improve the functionality of Gmail. The firm announced this week a new function for searching emails within its inbox. If it can be frustrating to search through hundreds or thousands of emails, the firm will take advantage of its artificial intelligence to detect user habits and offer more relevant results depending on the context. This new feature should be enabled by default for all users starting in mid-December.
