(Boursier.com) — The Japanese partners of Renault intend to invest in Ampere, whose IPO could take place next year. Nissan And Mitsubishi have in fact confirmed that they would invest up to 600 million euros and 200 ME respectively in Renault’s new electric entity. Nissan will become “a strategic investor” in Ampere, Makoto Uchida, CEO of the Japanese automaker, told reporters, adding that the company could use innovations from the EV unit in software and connectivity on other markets outside Europe. Nissan is also considering taking a stake in Renault’s circular economy activity, The Future Is NEUTRAL”, according to a presentation from the diamond manufacturer.
