(CercleFinance.com) – Renault and Managem Group, a Moroccan player in the mining and hydrometallurgy sector, announce the signing of a memorandum of understanding aimed at securing the supply of low-carbon and responsible cobalt sulphate for batteries electrical.
The agreement provides for the supply by Managem Group of 5,000 tonnes of cobalt sulphate per year for a period of 7 years, starting in 2025.
Renault Group will ensure a significant supply, representing an annual battery production capacity of up to 15 GWh.
This agreement notably includes the possibility for Managem Group, Renault Group and its Alliance partners to develop potential cooperation on the supply of manganese and copper sulphate, as well as on the recycling of battery materials.
