While Renault has just given a taste of the final design of its future electric R5 with a camouflaged version, the diamond brand is once again indulging in the art of teasing.

On this Thursday, July 13, 2023, the French manufacturer has just shared the first official images of his 100% electric reinvention of the famous Scénic. The opportunity to confirm the change of segment of the iconic minivan, to become an SUV. Renault unveils the new Scénic E-Tech

New Renault Scénic E-Tech electric is a continuation of Scénic Vision, becoming the first production vehicle to embody the brand’s new sustainable development strategy through its three pillars: environment, safety and inclusion”. writes Renault in its press release.

Let us recall in passing that Renault began to evoke this wattée reissue of the Scénic from the start of 2022, before to unveil in May of the same year the Scénic Vision concept. Already at the time, this prototype hinted at the final design of the commercial version of the future SUV. Thanks to the photos shared by Renault, we manage to distinguish the lines of the big brother of the Mégane E-Tech a little better.

A line reminiscent of the style of… Peugeot

In the program, rather angular features, which are ironically reminiscent of Peugeot’s latest models like the e-2008 (2023). However, it is not surprising when we know that this design is signed Gilles Vidal, former executive of the Lion brand precisely. Regarding the interior, Renault has preferred to keep it a secret for now.

From what we know, this Scénic E-Tech is intended to be the family model par excellence of the manufacturer’s electric range. Like the Mégane E-Tech and the electric R5, it will be manufactured at the Douai plant and will also be based on the CMF-BEV platform.

According to the brand, a fleet of pre-series vehicles will be hitting European roads this summer. Afterwards, the Scénic E-Tech will be presented to the general public during the show Munich IAA Mobility 2023 at a dedicated conference from September 4.
