According to the Ipsos survey, 32% of French people questioned say they judge Emmanuel Macron’s action favorably or very favorably. Likewise, Prime Minister Gabriel Attal benefits from an increase of five points, to 39%.
The two heads of the executive, Emmanuel Macron and Gabriel Attal, regained popularity in May, according to two Ipsos and Ifop polls published on Sunday respectively in the Tribune Dimanche and the JDD. According to the Ipsos survey, 32% of French people questioned say they judge Emmanuel Macron’s action favorably or very favorably, an increase of three points over one month. Prime Minister Gabriel Attal benefits from an increase of five points compared to April, to 39%.

Same trend for Ifop, for whom 31% of French people say they are rather satisfied or very satisfied with the action of the Head of State, also an increase of three points compared to the previous delivery of the same survey. For Gabriel Attal, the increase is, as for Ipsos, five points, with 45% of respondents fairly satisfied or very satisfied.
In the JDD, the director of Ifop Frédéric Dabi, believes in particular that Gabriel Attal has succeeded in establishing an image of proximity with the French, citing several comments from respondents: “He represents France and the French very well”, “he is close to us”, “he goes everywhere”.
The Ipsos survey was carried out online on May 15 and 16, using the quota method, with a sample of 1,000 people representative of the French population aged 18 and over. The Ifop survey was carried out from May 6 to 16 using a representative sample of 1,982 people aged 18 and over, using quota method. Margin of error 1 to 1.4 points.
