Four women who returned from a prison camp in northeastern Syria on Tuesday were indicted in Paris on Friday and imprisoned, AFP learned from the national anti-terrorist prosecutor’s office (Pnat). These four women have been indicted for criminal terrorist association. One of them was also arrested for financing terrorism and those who had taken their children to the Iraqi-Syrian zone were also arrested for evading a parent from his legal obligations. They were all remanded in custody.

Seven other women charged

On Tuesday, seven other women, who were the subject of an arrest warrant, had already been indicted for terrorist criminal association and for certain subtractions of a parent from his legal and incarcerated obligations. A total of 15 women and 32 children, close to jihadists of the Islamic State (IS) organization who were in the Roj camp under Kurdish administration, about fifteen kilometers from the Iraqi and Turkish borders, have been repatriated. tuesday.

Among the 15 women, four young adults had been taken to the area by their parents when they were minors. As there is no evidence to conclude that they were associated with terrorist criminals, they were the subject of administrative or judicial support ordered by the juvenile judge, according to the Pnat.
