Repatriation: Is There Life After Death?

With regression, people want to know whether they have lived before. The non-medical practitioner Wolfgang Schieber explains how a session works and what problems the journey into the former self can help with.

Is there a life after death? Many people are convinced that they have lived several times – for example as a maid in the Middle Ages, as a noblewoman in the 18th century or as a soldier in the First World War. Some have memories that couldn't possibly come from current life, or feel like they are carrying around old conflicts or problems.

One way to travel back to a previous life is through reincarnation therapy – also known as regression. What exactly happens there? We spoke to the naturopath Wolfgang Schieber from Hockenheim.

BRIGITTE.de: What exactly does repatriation actually mean?

Wolfgang Schieber: Repatriation means nothing more than a journey through time. The subconscious gives an insight into something that otherwise remains hidden – be it in our current or in a previous life.

How long does such a session last?

A session usually lasts between one and three hours.

What exactly do you want to achieve with repatriation?

There are clients who simply want to know out of curiosity whether they have lived before. Others want to solve current problems, such as marital problems, fears and phobias, chronic illnesses, or sexual disorders. All of this and much more can be dealt with through regression.

And how does it work?

In regression one can see whether there is a connection with previous lives. Indeed, this is very often the case. In a trance, you can see where the problem is really coming from and thereby resolve it better.

How exactly does such a session work?

The therapist uses certain sentences to put the client in a so-called alpha state – hypnosis. You can imagine it like the state shortly before falling asleep or waking up. You are not really awake, but you are not sleeping properly either. The subconscious then directs to the right place in order to dissolve blockages and problems.

Do you have an example?

A client came to me with knee problems. We then carried out a repatriation and it turned out that she had lived before – in the First World War. She was the son of a strict general who wanted to send him to war as a soldier. But because he didn't want to, he shot himself in the knee. Just knowing about this incident in her previous life helped the client. When she was completely awake again, her knee pain was gone.

Do you remember everything after the session?

Yes, you keep the memories of the trance. You experience the regression as if you had seen a movie.

Who is repatriation suitable for?

Regression is suitable for anyone who is mentally healthy. I would not recommend it to people who are in a psychosis or acute panic anxiety, because the therapy often does not work or can even worsen the problems.

Do you have to believe in the afterlife to achieve success through repatriation?

No, that's the interesting thing: It also works for people who don't believe in it. Of course, you have to be ready to be hypnotized.

What should I look out for when seeking a regression therapist?

Above all, you should pay attention to competence, experience and seriousness. Does the therapist have appropriate evidence or certificates for the practice of regression? How regularly does he have clients whom he uses regression? Also an indicator of professionalism: the therapist explains to the client in detail about the procedure in a preliminary discussion and answers open questions. Ultimately, it is also very important that you sympathize with the therapist. After all, you let him look deep into his soul.

What does a repatriation cost?

Between 100 and 200 euros, depending on the therapist and the time required.

And how often do you usually do a regression?

You can do it as often as you want. Most patients do this once or twice, however. That is almost always enough.

What are the risks?

If the repatriation is done professionally, there are actually no risks. Clients usually feel better and better after a session. As I said, people with mental illness should be careful about regressions.

But hand on heart: Life after death – can that really be true?

Of course, the traceability method cannot provide 100 percent proof. But for me it is likely that we have several lives. Because there was simply a lot of evidence in favor of the regression that I have already instructed. Incidentally, colleagues told me about very similar cases.

What was the most amazing thing you experienced during a regression?

One evening I had read the book “The Journey of Souls”, which described what the dead do after life. According to the book, for example, they have the feeling of coming home – to their soul family. There they look back on life like a day at school when they learned. The next day, when she was being returned, a client reported precisely on the scenarios described in the book. I was completely flabbergasted. For me one more indication that there really is life after death!
