Replaced: the Belarusian studio postpones the release to 2023

During the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase at theE3 2021, Sad Cat Studios and Coatsink unveiled Replaced, a 2.5D action platformer with a retro-futuristic vibe, which will put us in the shoes of an AI trapped in a human body. A title originally expected in 2022, but which has just been postponed.

In a statement, Sad Cat Studios explains that it is based in Belarus, with developers coming in particular from Ukraine. Suffice to say that the atmosphere has not been good since the invasion of the latter country by Russia at the start of the year, the team has been more busy keeping its employees and their families safe than developing Replaced. The design of the game has just resumed, but the studio announces from the outset that it will not be able to hold the initial release period.

Sad Cat Studios prioritizes the physical and mental health of his team, Replaced is now expected in 2023 on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, no one will blame him for this postponement. The game will be included in the Xbox/PC Game Pass as soon as it is launched, you can subscribe to €29.99 for three months via Amazon.
