What should we remember this week in pop culture news? Whether you’re interested in video games, streaming or anything related, you’ll find your answer in RePop!

The announcements in recent days are a little less important than those of the previous week, but there are still things to remember. Particularly on the video game side.

Video games: between records, announcements and updates

Did you know which game is the most played today (by far) on console? Meanwhile, the trailer for GTA 6 continues to break records. Let’s really start this RePop with Ubisoft, which has decided to evolve its Ubisoft+ subscription offer, which now closely resembles what Sony offers.

On the announcement side, Xbox held its Developer Direct conference Thursday evening. The opportunity in particular to obtain a definitive release date for Hellblade 2gameplay for Avowed and, above all, a first glimpse of the game Indiana Jones from MachineGames.

As for important updates, players of World of Warcraft can since the beginning of the week enjoy new content on the extension Dragonflight. Those from Starfield will appreciate an important new patch. The title was also profitable for Bethesda despite the mixed returns.

This week also saw the release of the remaster version of The Last of Us Part 2, with… slight differences. Finally, good news for tennis fans with the announcement of a new TopSpin, but less good news for those who were quickly waiting for a certain STALKER 2 ….

To make the perfect transition to streaming news, what could be better than to note the announcement of the adaptation of the interactive video game Until Dawn in film?

A streaming industry that is still looking for itself

Just after the Golden Globes, this week was the opportunity via the Emmy Awards to reward the best series of 2023. The winners are solid, if not surprising.

More surprisingly, this week a partnership was set up between Netflix and… Carrefour around joint subscriptions. Netflix also released the full trailer for its film this week. Spaceman. Still in France, launched last week, the TF1+ platform has a certainly aggressive and assertive policy with third-party cookies for its users. Finally, just as surprising (or perhaps not…), it was revealed that a new version of the venerable and cult series Bowler Hat and Leather Boots (The Avengers) is under construction!
