(CercleFinance.com) – The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the creation of a joint venture between Repsol Customer Centric and Telefónica de España, both of Spain.
The joint venture will be active in the implementation of photovoltaic projects in Spain, consisting mainly of the acquisition, installation and maintenance of solar panels on the ground floor or on the roof for the self-consumption of households and companies.
The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise no competition concerns, given the limited overlaps and the fact that a number of important players would remain in the market after the merger.
