While a bonus from “Research Section” has already been released, Franck Sémonin has revealed that a new episode of the flagship TF1 detective series will soon begin filming.
On April 21, 2022, TF1 broadcast the final episode of Section de Recherches. After having been in the heyday of the channel for almost 14 years, the detective series led by Xavier Deluc bowed out on the occasion of an exceptional bonus which saw the return of former actors like Linda Hardy, Jean- Pascal Lacoste and Chrystelle Labaude.
But if fans thought they had definitively said goodbye to the series, TF1 backtracked and announced, a year after the broadcast of the last episode, that Bernier, Lucas and the others would be back for two new 52-minute episodes. .
A turnaround in the situation probably motivated by the good audiences achieved by the “final” which brought together an average of 5.07 million viewers.
It was last May on Reunion Island that the actors from Section de Recherches met to film these new episodes. The opportunity for Xavier Deluc (Bernier), Franck Sémonin (Lucas), Fabienne Carat (Jeanne), Félicité Chaton (Vicky) and Elise Tielrooy (Ariel) to meet again.
If, for the moment, no broadcast date has yet been announced by TF1, it seems that the channel is not yet ready to put Research Section in the closet.
A new bonus in preparation
It’s via a story Instagram posted on his account that Franck Sémonin announced good news for Research Section fans. The series will indeed be back for another bonus which will begin filming soon.
He told his subscribers to be “back to the gym to prepare for the next Research Section”. The one who plays Lucas Auriol also revealed that filming should begin on Sunday January 20, for a duration of approximately four weeks.
And after Reunion, the production decided to settle down on another paradise island. According to information from our colleagues at Leisure TV, it is in Martinique that the filming of this new episode will take place. As for the casting, Xavier Deluc and Fabienne Carat should make their comeback.
