Research Section returns this evening on TF1! What is the new unreleased episode filmed in Reunion worth?

Bernier, Lucas and the others are preparing to make their comeback on television almost two years after the broadcast of the last episode! This Thursday, February 1, TF1 will indeed broadcast the new, unpublished Research Section bonus, entitled “Deadly hike”, which sees the two gendarmes leading the investigation on Reunion Island.

Two years after the last episode aired

Newly retired, Bernier goes for a trek on the island with his former colleagues. Unfortunately, as soon as they arrive at the shelter cut off from the world where they plan to spend the night, a hiker from their group is found dead, hanging from a tree in a macabre scene.

Just when they thought they could finally disconnect and enjoy the magnificent nature of the island, they will have to investigate to find the culprit. Deprived of any means of communication and unable to warn the local authorities, Bernier is forced to return to service for a new disconcerting investigation.

And if all the people present in the lodge are suspects, only one is guilty. But who could have blamed this uneventful journalist? The research section will carry out the investigation.

A closed-door investigation

Nearly three years after the cancellation of the series, and two years after the broadcast of the conclusion bonus, Xavier Deluc, Franck Sémonin, Fabienne Carat and Elise Tielrooy are back in this new, original opus which sees our heroes evolve in an environment hostile to say the least.

And if they were hoping to be able to enjoy a well-deserved vacation on Reunion Island to relax, they will very quickly be overtaken by reality and will not be able to help but combine their forces to carry out a new investigation behind closed doors who will push them to their limits.

Written by Laura Fontaine, Denis Alamercery and Yann Le Gal, this new opus of Section de Recherches offers us a story rich in twists and turns which will captivate viewers until the final outcome.

Spectacular settings… and guests

In addition to his well-crafted scenario, director Abel Ferry, who notably worked on Le Saut du Diable, took care to highlight the spectacular and wild settings of Reunion, thus offering us a breath of fresh air and warmth in midwinter.

As for the guests, Elodie Varlet, who is currently at the heart of the intrigues of Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle, Isabelle Vitari (Our dear neighbors), Olivier Sitruk (Balthazar), Laurent Maurel (Vengeance with Clear Eyes) and Soan Arhimann completes the cast of this special episode.

Note that this is not the last time that TF1 viewers will see the heroes of Section Recherches since a new bonus has just started filming in Martinique.
