While Catherine Vautrin was appointed Thursday at the head of a super ministry of Labor, Health and Solidarity, the general secretary of the CGT Sophie Binet judged on Sunday “very serious to no longer have a Minister of Health” full exercise.

The general secretary of the CGT Sophie Binet judged on Sunday “very serious to no longer have a Minister of Health” in full office, after the appointment of Catherine Vautrin at the head of a super ministry of Labor, Health and Solidarities. “We are very worried because health is in crisis. Caregivers have been calling for help for years (…), and therefore the fact of no longer having a Minister of Health is is very serious”, declared the number one of the CGT on RTL.

The probable future appointment of a Minister Delegate for Health is in his eyes “the least of things, but it is not the same thing to have a Minister Delegate or a Minister in full office” because the Ministry of Health is “extremely important”. Agnès Pannier-Runacher is being approached to occupy this position.

“On all the priorities of the French, there are no more ministers”

Emmanuel Macron and Gabriel Attal unveiled a tight and largely right-wing government on Thursday. “The problem in the composition of this government is that, on all the priorities of the French, there are no longer any ministers. There is no longer any Minister of Health, National Education is drowned in a large Ministry of Sports, there is no longer a Minister of Industry, there is no longer a Minister of Housing while we are in the most serious housing crisis”, commented Sophie Binet . “We need a change of course with this new government,” she said, denouncing the “economic, social and moral shipwreck of Emmanuel Macron’s five-year term.”

The leader of the CGT must meet in the coming days with Prime Minister Gabriel Attal who must discuss with each of the employers’ organizations, trade unions and organizations of elected officials.
