Resident Evil 3: 5 million copies distributed for the remake

Capcom delighted fans of survival horror in January 2019 with the remake of Resident Evil 2, which sold like hotcakes. The Japanese studio then continued with a remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis the following year, but the adventure of Jill at Raccoon City had a little more trouble seducing.

But casually, the title still manages to find takers, even today. Capcom announcement indeed thathe has distributed five million copies of Resident Evil 3 since its release in April 2020. The studio recalls that the title has received several awards, especially in Japan, and thanks to promotions, especially on PC, the game manages to attract new players.

As a reminder, Capcom very recently updated its list of Platinum Titlesand as of December 31, 2021, Resident Evil 3 has sold over 4.9 million copies. the survival horror should therefore reach five million in real sales by the studio’s next financial report, even if we are very far from the 9.3 million copies sold of the remake of Resident Evil 2. You can find Resident Evil 3 at €24.99 on Amazon.
