Resident Evil Village: PS VR2 mode will be free and will be available on February 22

The Gold version of Resident Evil Village didn’t sound quite like the swan song for the game of Capcom, which will still be entitled to a virtual reality version tailor-made for the PlayStation VR2. This mode was formalized last summer without giving too many details, but we now know when it will arrive and what it will allow us to do. Good news, this VR mode will not be limited to just a few portions of the game.

No additional cost to tremble in front of Lady Dimitrescu in VR

You will indeed be able to play the entire campaign of Resident Evil Village with the PS VR2 headset screwed on the head, if you have the courage. Apart from your meeting with Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters, you will therefore be able to relive Ethan’s entire adventure in virtual reality.

We will also be happy to learn that this VR mode will be included via an update which will be free, for all owners of the game. You don’t need to own the Gold Edition, so you just need a PlayStation VR2 headset to enjoy it (it’s only 600 € after all, peanuts).

As one might expect, this compatibility with the helmet will be available as soon as the latter is released, on February 22. Enough to fill the catalog of games compatible with the headset a little, given that your current PS VR toy library will not work on the latter.
