On November 25th, “Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City”, a new version of the classic horror video game series, will hit cinemas.

The zombies shuffle back onto the big screen on November 25th with “Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City”. According to the distributor Constantin Film, the adaptation should be “very close” to the well-known video game series, the first parts of which are considered absolute classics of the survival horror genre – unlike the “Resident Evil” film series with Milla Jovovich (45 ), the last part of which appeared in Germany at the beginning of 2017.

Apparently, “Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City” takes the first two video games as a model. The film is set in Raccoon City in 1998 and allows fans to meet popular characters from the zombie universe again, among other things. You can see Kaya Scodelario (29) as Claire Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen (32) plays Jill Valentine, Robbie Amell (33) becomes Chris Redfield, Avan Jogia (29) plays Leon S. Kennedy, Tom Hopper (36) Albert Wesker and Neal McDonough (55) played William Birkin.

These games create a good mood

To get in the right mood for the cinema adventure between the undead and the machinations of the Umbrella Corporation, fans can do another round with part one and two of the video game series. A newly edited HD version of “Resident Evil”, which originally appeared in 1996, is available for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In 2019, developer and publisher Capcom also released a widely acclaimed remake of “Resident Evil 2” for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, which has since sold more than 8.6 million times. The corresponding console versions can also be played on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.

Would you like a more up-to-date part of the series? In May, “Resident Evil Village” was the eighth main part for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S. Between monsters and puzzles, gamers can also expect encounters with well-known characters and allusions to other parts of the series.
