Resident Evil would prepare several surprises, not sure you like them

Despite results oscillating between average and very bad, adaptation projects around Resident Evil continue, according to recent leaks.

Fans probably remember (or have preferred to forget) recent Resident Evil productions like Welcome to Raccoon City or the Netflix series canceled after a season of questionable quality. This obviously did not dispel those interested, who would obviously like to move on.

Do we take the same adaptations of Resident Evil and start again?

Unlike other licenses such as League of Legends, The Last of Us or even more recently Fallout, Resident Evil has never really been spoiled when it comes to its adaptations. The films of Paul WS Anderson are one of the many striking examples in this area. Others have since tried, the latest examples being Welcome to Raccoon City and the Netflix series of the same name. The first adaptation was average at best, the second was a resounding failure.

Never mind, these two unsuccessful attempts to pay homage to Resident Evil would soon be entitled to some form of sequel according to Geek Vibes Nation. There would indeed first be a question of a prequel to Welcome to Raccoon City, inspired by Resident Evil 0 with Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen. Ada Wong would also be there. The full cast should be announced in October, and the film would have a budget of 30 million dollars, for an adaptation that we are told is “faithful”.

The failure of its previous series would not have dismantled Netflix either. A new test has already been validated. It would be a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by the T-Virus. The first episode would show us the origins of the zombie catastrophe, with Sophia Marcus, daughter of James Marcus in 0, as the main protagonist. We should see all the iconic monsters from Resident Evil again, but no main characters like Chris, Claire, Jill, Leon and company. Filming should begin in 2025. However, it should be remembered that these are rumors for the moment. We will therefore have to wait for official confirmation for one or the other project.

Hoping that these next adaptations are less worse than their previous counterparts… © Netflix
