“IThere is no question of exposing ourselves without protecting ourselves. The Prime Minister, Jean Castex, presented in person on Wednesday the “economic and social resilience plan” to enable companies to cope with the consequences of the Russian war in Ukraine. While the government had already deployed a tariff shield of around twenty billion euros (the estimate varies according to assumptions on the price of gas) to cushion the surge in energy prices for the population, it is now trying to protect business activity as well.
