Resuscitation unsuccessful – frontal crash in Stainz: 42-year-old died

After an accident between a car and a truck, a woman from Leoben (42) died in Stainz on Monday morning. She was trapped in the car. The resuscitation of the emergency doctor was in vain.

Tragic traffic accident on Monday morning in Rassach (municipality of Stainz): A 42-year-old from Leoben got on the B 76 in the direction of Stainz on the opposite lane – why is still unclear. There she crashed head-on into a truck. Woman was trapped in the accident vehicle. Her vehicle was thrown onto a meadow and she was trapped in it. The Stainz, Rassach and Bad Gams fire brigades rescued the woman from the car wreck. However, the resuscitation attempts of an emergency doctor were in vain, the 42-year-old died at the scene of the accident. The 58-year-old driver of the semitrailer was uninjured in the accident. He had 0.0 per mille, as the police announced. The B 76 was closed for the duration of the operation, and traffic was diverted via Bad Gams. After about four hours, the fire brigade’s forces were able to move back in and end the operation.
