Resuscitation unsuccessful – hiker collapses on tour in Tyrol – dead

A hike in the Oberbergtal in Neustift in the Tyrolean Stubaital ended tragically for a 70-year-old local. The pensioner suddenly collapsed, attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.

The 70-year-old left the Oberissalm in the direction of the Franz-Senn-Hütte on Friday around 3 p.m. in a hiking group of 60 people in the Oberbergtal in Neustift im Stubai. After walking about 15 minutes, the man suddenly fell to the ground for no apparent reason and was no longer able to speak. First aid measures failed. Members of the group immediately started resuscitation measures and also started the rescue chain. The crew of the emergency doctor helicopter continued the first aid measures – unfortunately in vain. The 70-year-old died on the spot.
