“The Pont-de-Bois campus is blocked today, the partials are effectively canceled,” a spokesperson for the University of Lille told AFP, adding that the presidency was still thinking about the terms of the postponement of these. exams.

According to Léonie Cornette, secretary of the Student Union Federation (FSE) in Lille, and Jasmine Carlier, activist from Solidaires Étudiants, the blockage was put in place around 6 a.m., students installing grids, supermarket trolleys or garden furniture around all the entrances to the campus, located in Villeneuve d’Ascq in the Lille metropolitan area.

The campus “mobilization committee” distributed a leaflet on social networks, calling on students to a “General Assembly of struggle” at 10:00 a.m. “With the end of the semester approaching, how can students participate in the battle against the pension reform while stressing to validate their year? We have demands to allow this release, but the university is turning a deaf ear ( …) We will have to fight”, pleads the committee in this leaflet.
