The coronation year for Manchester City and Pep Guardiola… On June 10, 2023, the Cityzens beat Inter Milan in the final of the Champions League (1-0) to win the first title in their history in C1. At the Atatürk Olympic Stadium, the English won thanks to a single goal from Rodri in the 68th minute of play. This success allowed the Manchester club to achieve a historic treble (Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup), 24 years after that achieved by its historic rival: Manchester United. To complete it all, the Skyblues won in the final of the Club World Cup on December 22 against Fluminense (4-0).
