La Rochelle on the roof of Europe for the second year in a row! On May 20, 2023, Ronan O’Gara’s men won against Leinster in the Champions Cup final at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin (27-26). After a catastrophic start to the match and a score of 17 to 0 in favor of the Irish from the 12th minute, the Maritimes reversed the trend thanks to tries from Danty (20th), Seuteni (38th) and Colombre (72nd). As in 2022, Stade Rochelais defeated Leinster in the final of the competition to win the second European title in its history. Very close to achieving the Champions Cup – Top 14 double, the Maritimes lost in the final of the French championship in the last minutes against the Toulouse team.
