Return these power strips to the store immediately, they may cause a fire

Reminder Conso has sounded the alarm on 3 models of power strips, sold in several major retail brands. The latter are accused of seeing their power cable deteriorate too quickly, which creates serious fire risks. Find in this article the list of models and stores concerned.

power strip

A simple power strip could ruin your Christmas. This is the bad news announced by the Rappel Conso organization on December 18. The latter discovered that three models of power strips, currently sold in many supermarkets, present a serious manufacturing defect. Their power cable deteriorates too quickly, which risks starting a fire if the problem is not detected early enough.

Conso recall therefore urges all consumers who have purchased the corresponding models to return them without waiting in store. These will then be fully reimbursed, in accordance with the law. Those affected will have until June 15, 2024 to get rid of their defective power strip. However, given the seriousness of the risks involved, we advise you not to wait that long to return the device.
