It was the work that made us want to get into video game development” commented Piotr Babieno, CEO of the studio. “Now we face the ultimate challenge: the challenge of translating our childhood memories into a language that matches modern gamers, while building an experience true to the original. […] Through this partnership, Konami and Bloober Team will ensure that Silent Hill 2 shines once again to set new standards for the genre and provide an unforgettable experience for the next generation of fans. […]”.

The remake of Silent Hill 2 reconnects with protagonist James Sunderland as he searches for clues in the eponymous town after receiving a mysterious letter written by his wife Mary, who died several years ago.

“Silent Hill is a gigantic, immense work. The 4 Silent Hill games constitute an absolutely extraordinary, truly imposing mythology, which for me has a part of romance” explained Christophe Gans at the time of the first film.

“That’s why there are so many fans of this license. I understand that they can even get lost in it, that they talk about it all the time. The theme of women is something something that came in very strongly, because I think there’s a romantic overtone to Silent Hill. The 4 games are about the search for a loved one in Hell, which harkens back directly to the famous myth of Orpheus and Eurydice”. With the upcoming adaptation of Silent Hill 2 by him, we can be quite confident.
