The Paris Court of Appeal, on which Seine-et-Marne depends, already decided on Tuesday not to maintain the suspensive effect of the summary detention, resulting in the release under judicial supervision of Pierre Palmade, indicated to Agence France-Presse (AFP) a judicial source.
This Friday, “during the debates, which took place in the absence of Pierre Palmade, the general prosecutor’s office requested the reversal of the order of the investigating judge and the resumption of the effects of the warrant of committal”, specified Attorney General Remy Heitz. The investigating chamber reserved its decision until Tuesday, he added. Pierre Palmade’s lawyer, Céline Lasek, passed in front of the cameras without commenting.
The artist had been placed in pre-trial detention on February 27, but never physically entered prison: victim of a stroke two weeks after the accident, he was operated on and is still hospitalized.

The investigation continues
On February 10, on a departmental road in Seine-et-Marne, Pierre Palmade was driving a car that hit a vehicle coming in front. In addition to the actor, the accident left three seriously injured: a 38-year-old man, his 6-year-old son and his 27-year-old sister-in-law, who lost the baby she was expecting after the collision.
In police custody, Pierre Palmade, plagued for decades with drug addiction problems, admitted to having consumed cocaine and synthetic drugs before driving, according to the Melun prosecution. He was indicted for homicide and involuntary injuries by driver having used narcotics in a state of legal recidivism. The investigation is continuing.

In addition to this case, there are investigations into the possession of child pornography images, launched after a report was made to the police. At this stage, no charges have been brought against the comedian in this case. His Parisian home and his house in Seine-et-Marne were searched, computer equipment seized.
A man was indicted for disseminating and possessing child pornography images and placed under judicial control as part of this investigation.
