Reunion: "Ghostbusters" stars celebrate online reunion

In a new edition of his "Reunited Apart" series Josh Gad gathered the cast from "Ghostbusters" including Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd.

After "The Lord of the Rings" and "Back to the Future" comes the next digital Hollywood reunion: For a zoom call, the stars from the iconic "Ghostbusters" strip from 1984 met for a chat. Among them were Bill Murray (69), Dan Aykroyd (67), Ernie Hudson (74) and Sigourney Weaver (70). As with the other online reunions before, US comedian Josh Gad (39, "Beauty and the Beast") drummed the stars together for his "Reunited Apart" series. In the Corona crisis, he set himself the task of pooling popular film and series casts on YouTube and thus collecting donations for a good cause.

"Who Ya Gonna Zoom?"

Annie Potts (67) and director Ivan Reitman (73) also followed Gad's call to take a look back at their favorite scenes and discuss how the classic was created. Also included were William Atherton and Michael Ensign, who had minor roles in the film. Together the actors talked to Josh Gad about the classic from back then and also left the late Harold Ramis (1944-2014) from the original cast unmentioned. Of course, it was also about the new "Ghostbusters" film that Ivan Reitman's son Jason (42) made. "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" is scheduled to start on March 4, 2021.
