An investigation was opened on Monday by the Lyon prosecutor’s office after the attack on “several school staffby four people who entered the Paul Eluard college in Vénissieux.

An attack “in connection with a student”
In the morning, four individuals, who are not students, entered the college, asking to speak to people from school life, the rectorate of the Lyon academy told AFP. According to this source, they were “aggressive“verbally and physically,”pushing harda supervisor, who then had to be hospitalized. Olivier Dugrip, rector of Lyon and of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes academic region, condemned “firmly” this aggression in a press release, and brought “all its support for the entire educational community of the college“. “No attack on the school of the Republic can be tolerated“, he underlined. According to the rectorate, these facts have created “a strong emotionin this establishment of 740 students, which was closed on Monday afternoon. Students will return to class from Tuesday morning.
