Cabasse completes its range of sedentary connected speakers by launching a brand new stereo system consisting of two active speakers in bookshelf format, the Rialto. With curves similar to those of the Breton manufacturer’s Murano speakers, the Rialto stand out in particular for their compactness (26 x 20.6 x 23.9 cm), while still weighing 19.5 kg each.

Rialto.

First Cabasse product combining the traditional hi-fi world with the latest connected technologies, the Rialto do not skimp on the promise of exceptional sound reproduction and connection possibilities, despite their compactness. We thus find various technologies specific to Cabasse to limit distortion and wide-travel woofers promising to deliver “powerful, deep, precise and distortion-free bass”. The Rialtos are also inspired by the acoustic architecture straight from the French manufacturer’s Pearl range, with three coaxial speakers (a 17 cm woofer and a 13 cm coaxial midrange/tweeter speaker ) which allows the sound waves to emanate from the same point and thus recreate a coherent soundstage.

Many sound settings are accessible via the Cabasse StreamControl mobile app.

As said above, the Rialto are far from being stingy in connectors and connectors. At the back of the left speaker there is an Ethernet port, an optical S / PDIF input, an RCA input, a USB-A port and an HDMI eARC input to connect the system to a television. The Rialtos also support Bluetooth, wifi and Cabasse’s home multiroom protocol. However, the system does not seem compatible with the AirPlay 2 protocol.

In addition to all the connections, the left speaker is surmounted by a controller consisting of a touch screen surrounded by a rotation ring used to control volume and playback, but also to navigate between tracks. The screen also allows you to view the covers of the albums being played. The Rialtos have a microphone used for the automatic calibration of the system, but also for activating the Google Assistant.
