(CercleFinance.com) – Riber announces that the American company EPIR has just concluded the acquisition of a new MBE 32P MCT research machine to be installed in early 2023, in order to strengthen its fleet of systems and support the supply of advanced materials to his clients.
A wholly owned subsidiary of Sivananthan Laboratories, EPIR develops advanced HgCdTe (Mercury Cadmium Telluride – MCT) semiconductors for infrared sensing and imaging devices.
It uses a custom material growth technology, made possible by Riber’s MBE equipment and including several epitaxial layers grown either on CdZnTe meshes or on silicon substrates.
