Charges to which Richard Berry responded in refuting the words of his daughter Coline and cousin of the actress Marilou Berry. "I have never had an inappropriate or incestuous relationship with Coline or with any of my children. These allegations are false", he reacted in story on Instagram. Later that day on February 3, 2021, Richard Berry's ex-wife spoke publicly.

Jeane Manson on the one hand acknowledged the "tumultuous family relationships"between her ex-husband and her daughter. I am stunned and deeply hurt to be caught up in a family settling of scores.", she continues, calling for justice to "bring out the truth ". An investigation was opened by the Paris prosecutor's office. The investigations were entrusted to the juvenile brigade of the Paris judicial police.
