Milestone is still as prolific as ever, it will launch on June 8 MotoGP 23an officially licensed motorcycle racing game MotoGPbut it will not be the only title of its kind that the Italian studio will release this year. Milestone reveals this week RIDE 5, another simulation-oriented two-wheel racing game.

This new opus will arrive this summer on computers and the latest generation home consoles, with of course its share of new features to appeal to fans of virtual motorcycle racing. Milestone presents in detail this RIDE 5 :

  • Take what’s yours : a new career mode with a narrator and 10 rivals

For the first time in the series, fans will be able to enjoy a career mode accompanied by a narrator who will introduce the events and guide the players through their adventure. A leaderboard will be present and allow them to track their progress through the four main career paths, which will include various events to complete before they can unlock the next one. Additionally, to spice up the competition, RIDE 5’s career mode will feature 10 rivals, each with their own unique personality, story, and appearance. Players will need to beat them in order to reach the top of the leaderboard. Secondary challenges will complete the whole thing with more than 200 playable events.

“Endurance” races will now benefit from in-game saves and rewind functionality to grant more control and flexibility during game sessions. “Single Race” and “Time Trial” game modes will be ideal to improve driving styles, but also to become familiar with the different categories of vehicles and push the limits of its performance.

  • RIDE 5’s advanced technology blurs the line between reality and virtual

Technological improvements will fully exploit the potential of the latest generation of consoles and the best PC configurations, ensuring a breathtaking level of realism never achieved before. For the first time in the franchise, the Milan-based development studio has integrated a dynamic weather system that calculates circuit and air temperatures in real time to generate realistic climate changes during races, adding a whole new strategic dimension to racing. The sky system has also been changed from a 2D technology based on real photos to a 3D cloud volumetric technology which will ensure a more immersive visual result. Now players will be able to see clouds change shapes and interact with lighting based on their density, creating breathtaking vistas. The technological improvements will also impact the physics of the motorcycles, which have been improved in all aspects, from the interaction of the rider with his vehicle, to the different speeds and lean angles for each of the vehicle categories.

  • Local split-screen and cross-play multiplayer : who will be the first to stop?

Motorcycle culture knows no bounds and with RIDE 5, two-wheeled enthusiasts can unleash their passion through an enhanced multiplayer experience. Online, it will be possible to join cross-play sessions on consoles (PlayStation 5 vs Xbox Series X|S) and on PC (Steam vs Epic Games Store). The global ranking will push players to become the best version of themselves. Additionally, since first appearing on RIDE 2, local split-screen multiplayer returns, giving players the ability to race against friends right from their couch.

  • Many customization options to extend the longevity of the game

One of the main pillars of RIDE 5 is the desire to offer riders as much freedom as possible in their adventure in the world of motorcycling. The race creator will allow players to be the director of the competition and thus create scenarios without limits. They will be able to customize the races and the championship by choosing the categories of motorcycles that will be allowed in the competition, selecting the opponents’ AI, the circuits, creating new liveries from scratch and choosing the scoring system and the rules. RIDE 5 will also offer options that will make the game more accessible. Indeed, driving aids have been improved to ease the learning curve and help less experienced players take full control of their vehicle using power brakes, steering and automatic acceleration. , the ideal trajectory and many more parameters to master the most difficult circuits.

With RIDE 5, players will be able to express their creativity through editors to customize motorcycles, outfits and helmets. They will be able to share their creations online on different platforms, so that everyone can enjoy the most beautiful ideas.

The release date of RIDE 5 is already set for August 24, 2023 on PC (Steam And Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. You can find images on the second page and already pre-order the game against €79.99 on Amazon.
